Now More Than Ever!
Oct 05, 2025Our Lady of Kibeho begged Rwandans to pray the Seven Sorrows Rosary. She warned what could happen if people didn’t heed her warnings.
Rwanda was facing escalating tension between Hutus and Tutsis, divisive rhetoric called for violence on the main media in Rwanda (RTLM radio), while violent vigilante groups like the “Interhamwe” destroyed property and threatened citizens. Then there was the assassination of President Habyarimana in April of 1994, which led to the horrific genocide.
Tension, rhetoric, vigilanteism, assassination.
What do we see in America right now? Escalating tension between so-called “Palestinians” and so-called “Zionists,” plus tension surrounding transgenders and tension surrounding illegal immigration.
We see divisive rhetoric on social media, and lies reported by the media about their political opposition. We see violent vigilante groups like Antifa, and billions of dollars of property destroyed in nationwide riots over the last five years.
This week a man who attempted to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, was sentenced to eight years in prison. The man who attempted to assassinate Donald Trump tried to kill himself in court after being found guilty. Meanwhile the accused assassin of Charlie Kirk awaits his trial. Not to mention the young man who shot Donald Trump in the head in July of 2024.
Tension, rhetoric, vigilanteism, assassination.
What’s the answer?
Mary tells us: pray the Seven Sorrows of Mary!
Am I taking sides? Were the Tutsis perfect? By no means. Just one year after the genocide began against the Tutsis, the “Kibeho Massacre” took place in the same small village Our Lady appeared in.
The Kibeho Massacre
A group of Hutus had been corralled into a camp surrounded by barbed wire and under the watch of armed guards. Something sparked panic, and guards shot into the camp and killed thousands of detainees. There was so little room inside the fence that the dead remained standing up. There was not enough room to fall to the group. More Hutus died that day than the number of bullets fired by Tutsis.
I share this only to say we don’t even know which “side” to take as our country faces increased tension, rhetoric, vigilanteism, and violence.
All we can do is pray!
Pray the Seven Sorrows Rosary every day!
