Don't Read this Blog Post
May 04, 2025
You don't have to read this blog post. Yes, I wrote a book about the Seven Sorrows, but you don't have to read it, either.
Yes, I'll do another parish event soon. But you don't have to attend.
I've recorded over 100 podcast episodes, but you don't have to listen.
Just pray the rosary every day!
That's what Mary asks.
There must be a good reason to ask. There must be something to be gained by doing so.
For my part, by praying the Seven Sorrows, I have gained SO MUCH insight.
As a result, I've written more than two dozen reflections on the Seven Sorrows. Praying the Seven Sorrows has helped me better understand:
1. the seven virtues
2. the seven petitions of the Our Father
3. the seven Beatitudes*
4. the seven Gifts of the Spirit
5. the seven Corporal Works of Mercy
6. the seven Spiritual Works of Mercy
7. seven ways Mary trusted God
8. seven ways to practice humility
9. seven stages of spiritual growth
10. perspective on suffering
11. the depths of meaning in the Eucharist
12. a way to forgive myself
13. a way to forgive others
14. insight into Salvation History
15. a better way to do an examination of conscience
16. the need for continual conversion
17. how to console others
18. how to love Jesus better (with the heart of Mary)
This booklet has 21 reflections on the Seven Sorrows:

And when YOU pray the Seven Sorrows Rosary every day, Mary promises that:
<<You will be enlightened about the Divine Mysteries.>>
I have seen that promise come true for me, and I want the same for you.
Please know this: I'll offer up a Seven Sorrows Rosary daily for you and your intentions.
